Steel Plate - A588 |
| Description |
A-588 is
a premier steel that combines relatively high strength, excellent resistance
to atmospheric corrosion and good weldability. The atmospheric corrosion
resistance, in most environments, is substantially better than that of carbon
structural steels with or without a copper addition.
|
| Typical
Application |
Generally
intended for applications requiring reduced weight, economy, durability,
resistance to atmospheric corrosion, and reduced maintenance. A-588 is often
used in the unpainted (bare) condition.
